* 12 oz pkg fresh cranberries * 1 cup water * 1C sugar * 1t cinnamon * 1/4t nutmeg * 1/8t allspice * 1 pint (2 cups) fresh blueberries Place cranberries in saucepan w/1cup water. Boil, reduce heat...stir and summer for 10 min. You HAVE to wait until every cranberry literally pops. Smash any cranberries w/the back of your spoon to make sure all of them are broken. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. Remove from heat and mix in blueberries. Sauce thickens when it cools. Tastes better after being in the fridge for several hours/next day. |

We LOVE cranberries and blueberries. This will be made. I might even add a pinch of grated orange rind and play with reducing sugar w/o sacrificing the thickening. |
We love cranberries any way we can get them! I'll be making this, along with the traditional orange/ walnut/cranberry salad! |
This is awesome! Never thought of adding blueberries, what a great idea! |
