You cannot make this stuff up

Hubby fed the dogs around nine, and went to bed early. I stayed up a few more hours, and then crashed on the TV room couch. About twelve thirty I hear Hudson fussing and a very grouchy husband take them both out.

Then, for at least fifteen minutes I hear him calling Hudson outside...too lazy to go out and get him, and if he's not coming in he's either sick or up to no good.

I angrily get up and stomp downstairs to get Hudson myself. As I walk out the back door I discover that Hudson's bowl is full of food.

What?

So I ask Hubby about it, and he explains that Rudy already had breakfast, but Hudson's still outside.

I go out, barefoot and in my housecoat, in the minus four or five degree dark of night. The little stinker hears me and runs in. I get there behind him. (I'll have to go out in the am and see what he's been up to outside...) I AGAIN ask my hubby WHY on earth there's food in Hudson's bowl at midnight.

He replies...because it's morning.

Nope.

Yes, it is!

I take up the food, and show him a clock. I won't repeat the words that followed as he stormed back up to bed, blaming Hudson for starting all of this. And, of course, Rudy ended up getting the extra meal. It's not like he corrected his Daddy.

Sheesh.

(And in point of fact, this is my one thousandth post...I can't think of a more fitting post for that milestone!)

Read Rudy's blog about this and had a real good laugh. When I was little, the moon was so bright that my mother got my dad up in the middle of the night. The cows needed milking.
