Drink the rum, both bottles, then you won't care that you don't have food! Do you have a bbq there on your tropical island? I would make a marinade of the ingredients you have, let the little shrimp swim around in that for awhile, then pop them on the bbq. Do you at least have any bread to eat with them? You could mix some olive oil and garlic and have a lovely dip for your bread, to have while you bbq the shrimp and drink pina coladas. |

We are staying on North Captiva Island. I haven't travelled alot, but it has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. You can walk the beach and never pass a person. We are headed to an island today called Cabbage Key. They have hamburgers. Yay...... Lisa and Frankie |
Make a marinade of olive oil, lemon, garlic and salt and pepper (cayenne pepper if you have it). Marinade the shrimp for about 30 minutes, and grill or saute. |

We used to stay on Pine Island. Also stayed at Fort Myers. Our Favorite side trip always was a day spent on La Costa (also calle Cayo Costa). Charter boat would drop us off & we were the only ones on the beach side of the island. No snack shops, no people not even any restrooms! But extremely beautiful & peaceful & turquoise water. Enjoy! |
