Max moved out yesterday into a flat with 9 other people who also suffer with depressions and I hope he will do fine. Now Charlie and me are all on our own. Very weird as I had Max for 22!!! years and now he's gone! Strange, strange! I have to get used to it first and many things are not the same as I cant go anywhere anymore to do stuff as Max was looking after Charlie and I havent found anyone yet good enough for Charlie. I will fly to UK on friday morning (Birmingham) to visit my friend Carol, meet up with Jill and next day we set off to Bristol to see STATUS QUO in concert. Anyone close by can meet me up. I'm around 12/1ish in Burton-upon-trent as I arrive at 10.30 in Birmingham, then I will set off to Burton to meet my friend later on. Max can come over to look after Charlie but it will be the last time ..... .... strange after such a long time when kids move out .... |

I hope Max enjoys his new place. Kids move out, but they sometimes come back. Mine all have! Right now they are all back out on their own again though. Is Max nearby enough to keep babysitting Max for the odd times you want to go away for a day or so? We still call in favors from ours and they dog sit and do the other animal chores on occasion. |
I hope this move will be good for Max. As for you and Charlie, it will be tough, but you can do it. |
Have a nice time visiting your friend! |
It takes a while to get used to that empty nest. And mine all came back again, at least for a while. To tell the truth, I really have gotten used to having my house and my time to myself. It's a weird feeling at first, but then you get to be yourself again, and not just someone's mom. Best wishes to Max and many hugs to you. |
Ooh, congrats Monika! It'll be ok. You'll get used to it and Max will have a good time. It had to happen some time! |
