Calling all computer wizzards! Setting issue after upgrade.

I upgraded to Explorer 8 a few weeks ago, and ever since, my password setting go away after each log-in. I have to "confirm" my computer each time when I log into our bank-- each time I log in to Facebook-- on here... It is not remembering my settings. Why don't I know how to fix this???? I should, but have a brain hiccup. Help!?

After getting a "Trojan" virus a year ago while using Explorer and running 2 antivirus programs I talked with some computer geeks from work. They told me that Explorer can do that "let you get infected even though running antivirus programs"......They basically told me to stop using Explorer. I switched to Google Chrome and that program actually asks if you want it to remember your passwords for you which would solve your basic question about passwords.
I'd switch to Firefox.
The problem is probably in your cookie settings. You'll need to ensure that IE is accepting cookies. It should be ok to restrict third party cookies.

I don't have IE 8 installed so I don't know the keystrokes involved.

Edit: I googled it and found this:
