Her first meal was very messy! This forum is such an amazing resource for newbie sheepie owners like myself. |

Ellie is so cute. Looking forward to seeing more stories on such a sweetie. |
Standing in one's food is normal, makes for good toe lickin' later, but those silly uprights wipe or wash the feet off......yea gads. Eleanor is adorable. |

Thank you for all the warm greetings! Darth Snuggle wrote: Welcome! Your profile says you're in Atlanta; so are we!!! Let me know if once Ellie has all her vaccinations, if you'd like to get together for a play date! A playdate would be great! We live in East Cobb just north of Atlanta. We have had such a hard time meeting dogs for Ellie to play with. There are two other dogs in her puppy training class, but they are itty bitty so their owner won't let them play with poor Ellie; the poor thing has sit on the sidelines and watch these two little dogs have a ball playing together and she can't join. Luckily, no person alive can resist walking past Ellie without stopping to say hello =] Ellie is up to date on all of her shots, the only shots she still needs are rabies and her last paravovirus vaccine which she is due to receive at 16 and 20 weeks old. Today she is 14 weeks old and I would guess that she is around 20-25 pounds. Ellie works with me on weekdays (she is the director of stress management), but we are available any time on the weekends. What a cutie! Too bad about the little dogs in the class. Our Mady is nearly a year now and plays with all kinds of little dogs at the dog park. Those little dog owners should have more faith in their dogs ability to play! |

I hesitate to suggest social stuff for Ellie before that last Parvo shot. But there's an Atlanta Sheepdog Day in the park the weekend after this coming one. We try to hold them 2 or 3 times a year; one in the Fall, one in the Spring, and one on Summer Solstice. We usually get a decent turn out of Sheepdogs and owners. Maybe if Ellie isn't quite ready, you could come without her and meet the locals. We hold it at Pinckneyville Park, located at 4758 S Old Peachtree Road, Norcross, GA 30071. Its on Sunday, November 14th, starting at 2pm. If you'd like to pm me an email address for yourself, I can put you on the evite list. It looks like you like to eat as much as I do!!!! |
