Do sheepies remember their first two-legged mamas?

YES THEY DO!! We went to the show in Lindsay on the weekend and the entire drive up wondered if Mady would remember Amber, the wonderful breeder who gave us our Madygirl. We were walking outside the hotel when we saw Amber's husband unloading the van (as all good husbands do). When Amber walked out the patio door of the hotel room and Mady spotted her, David nearly lost his arm from Mady running to Amber at full speed. Mady went nuts. It was so sweet I could cry just thinking about it. So my question was answered most definitively, sheepies do remember their first two-legged mamas!

Awww, sweet Mady, I love her stories. I hope they  their good first mommies, and snarl at the bad ones
When I adopted my Asia she came from a friend of mine who had run into some personal problems and didn't have the time for her. On the occasion my friend would stop by to visit, Asia would be really excited to see her, but when my friend would get ready to leave, Asia would always try to hide behind me while I assured her she was staying with me. :D
Violet came from a Rescue that was run by a middle ages man and every-time she sees a middle age man that resembles him,she goes crazy trying to get over to him. She's not seen the man from the Rescue since we picked her up 7 yrs ago, but doesn't seem to have forgotten him. :D
i go over about 2 times a yr to see my derby and yes he is ready to go home with me every time  ,
Kim, David and Amber was the weekend in Lindsay?

I was really bummed that Howie, Mark & I could not attend. Howie's first 2 legged dad was there (we see him often) but it still would have been fun to be there.

Hope you had a good time, any stories or photos??

I think that David has some pictures that he wants to post, and I dare not mess with his creative process by posting them before he is ready! I can tell you that the advice that I was given to NOT touch the show dogs was sound advice. It was wonderful to see Amber again, and fantastic to meet other people who are mad about sheepies! We got some grooming lessons (I hope that David can post a before and after bum shot) from Amber, got to see some wonderful dogs and my cunning plan to expose David to other sheepdogs was very effective. He couldn't take his eyes off of the big boys that were there, so maybe one day I can convince him to get a brother for Mady. Once we get through her coat transition, of course. IF we get through her coat transition...
Our first legged Moma is coming to visit in Feb. My older male is turing 4 this week  and baby sister is just two...I've been wondering if they will remember their first two legged Moma...we call her Grandma! We got both of them at 8 weeks old...I almost hope they don't remember so they are not sad when she leaves
That's super cute :) I got a little teary reading it.
