Bitten by accident
I have received several bruises from Simon from biting, or should I say snapping, at the air. It seems some part of my body, usually my hands get in the way as his jaw is snapping closed. I hate that, it hurts, alot, and he usually gets yelled at for biting. I know he's not really aiming for me but I just get in the way. But dang it, it hurts. |

| Oscar has gotten me a couple of times, usually during play when he is trying for a better hold on a toy. He was really bad as a puppy, but much better now. Laurie and Oscar, all fangs and claws |
| It happens sometimes when I'm playing with Aska. She's trying to bite the toy but my hand gets in the way  It does hurt ! |
| totally!!! And yup, the turtling will get you eventually. Try to over-react. Don't let teeth on skin go. Make sure you address it. But know that it's happening to all of us. Sometimes we do just get in the way. |
Someone recently told me that OES's have the same jaw strength as bull dogs. They're just a whole lot fluffier and cuter than them though  Don't know if it's true, but pretty crazy if it is. We have a bull dog on our street, and when she barks it sounds like she's tearing someone's face off. I wouldn't want to get in between those jaws! |
| This just happened to me the other day. Violet was barking and my hand and her teeth got to close to each other. The look on her face told the whole story when she realized what she did. Of course I said nothing, it was an accident, but ouch. |
| I finally downloaded my picture! Chewie never bites, but agility gets him quite amped up  This is the bruise from a passing tooth as he was having a praise session after doing a really nice agility run in class:  The clear area in the center is where the tooth went by, the bruise grew around it. |
