Texas sheepies??

| We're in Austin-- I know that there are quite a few sheepdogs around, but I've only met two others in all of my years of living here! I hear about them all the time; whenever we take Bones out, there's almost always someone who stops us to tell us that they have a friend/parent/sibling with a sheepdog, or that they grew up with one. Sometimes I'm convinced that they're all just making it up! I think it'd be great to have a Texas playdate, I'm in! |

| I do live in the area, and I'd love to meet you guys, but to be completely honest...the holiday season approaching leaves me out this year. Things are getting so busy that we'd find it hard to drive to Dallas. ...esp since all our travels will be towards Austin/Killeen. Then after all the holiday madness is over, I'll be moving into overdrive as we get ready for baby #4. I can't travel anywhere past Feb 1st ...even though I'm due at the END of March due to the absurdly fast labors I have.  I think the lonestar oes club here has get-togethers/herding/shows. I know I've seen pictures and been invited. That's really what I'd be interested in. I feel bad that I missed the last show here, but I definitely plan on trying to catch some events in the future. |
| I live in Wichita Falls (about 2hrs north of dallas) and would love to meet up for a sheepdog day sometime. I have had to travel a bit lately but will be back to TX in a few weeks and then head to San Antonio for 2 weeks in Dec. Hopefully I can find a way to bring Bert with me to San Antonio. |
| We're in Plano - and drive to OKC often. Our new Golden is coming home next month, so we will be a bit limited in socializing until he is completely immunized. |

Hi, pammonster! We're in Austin, too-- We have an 8 and a half month old girl named Bones who would love to have an OES playmate, especially one so close to her in age! I'm not sure what is out in Lakeway/Bee Cave, but we'd be willing to drive if you know of any good dog parks. We've only been to the one at Auditorium Shores, but the burrs are getting pretty bad! The last time we went, Bones had at least a thousand in each paw.  PM me if you're down, and we'll arrange something!! |
