I was trying to trim Ecco down to a manageable length while she goes through this coat transition when Ecco got a little wiggly and I got a little tired. The result? Her legs are completely shaved and her body is clipped with a #5. She looks like she has chicken legs! At least I managed to blend the two lengths together. I'm still deciding whether to clip the rest of her down or just leave things as they are so it doesn't get any worse. |

Ow ! hehehe I think it's better to just leave it like it is But I don't know how bad it is Pictures would be great ! |
Pictures! Go on!! I want to see Miss Ecco's chicken legs. I bet she's still as cute as ever. |
Sounds like my guys get when I'm getting tired....tho I use a #3.75 blade instead of a 5. You know, it all grows out. Don't shave her down, leave the hair on her body. |
Your wish is my command...Here she is. in all her chicken legged glory! |
you weren't kidding! I laughed out loud; I'm sorry! I say leave it and let it grow in; it won't be TOO long. |
She's SO cute! She reminds me of my girl Darby. I just gave Kaytee a haircut and used a #5 blade on her body and scissored her legs and head. I usually leave their legs a little longer no matter how long/short I clip them... just personal preference. http://oesusa.com/KayteeHaircut-102310.jpg |
How were you able to leave so much hair?? Yeah, chicken legs! Well, she only has to tuck them under herself to keep warm. She'll be fine. At least the mud won't stick for awhile. |
She is so cute ! I would just leave it like it is. Before you know, she'll be all fluffy again Aska is getting furry know. I shaved her 2 months ago (awful!) they shaved her pink! her white fur wasn't white becouse it was so close shaved ! Your baby is very cute ! |
Awww...thanks That makes me feel much better. On another positive note, I found a new dematter which seems to be solving the problem of the mat fairies. It was those little devils that caused me to want to clip her back some originally. Wouldn't you know, the day after she gets chicken legs I solve the problem...oh, well. It DOES grow back, right? I just hope none of her classmates laugh at her at agility this weekend. |
It IS cute... and like a few others... reminds me of our own dog. Yuki has the same legs!!! |
Thanks for posting you made my morning. She is definitely Miss Chicken Legs. She looks so funny and so cute. I can never believe how thin a sheepie's legs are under all that hair. |
She is just wearing her cropped pants, they'll come back. |

^^^ thats funny!^^^^ |
classic!!!! That picture made me LOL......sooooo funny! And terribly cute |
I love it! I always like a good chuckle at the expense of a skinny legged OES. They get a little too "puffed up" with all that fur (pun intended). It's good for their ego that they know that WE know what's under all the fluff! And I bet she looked like she was running twice as fast as any other dog this weekend at agility! Who knows, maybe it was even aerodynamic! |
I'm sorry, but I had to laugh, too. They really are chicken legs! But, in time, it will all grow back! Believe me, I have had haircuts that I have actually paid for, that make her chicken legs look good! |
