October 23, 2010 - Bailey and Emmett Crossed Together
I lost my loving Bailey and Emmett this morning and life for me will never be the same. Their blankets and water bowels will stay down for a while because I know that they will return one more time for a final good bye. | I'd like to thank everyone for their kind wishes. I know that it will take time but, for now, it is only more painful than the day before. I woke up looking for the dogs to feed, I had been not sleeping at night because of Bailey and we had fallen into a routine of staying up all night together and I missed her last night while I was up all alone, looking for her company, Emmett was always in the bed and the bed was empty, he always had to go out to pee at 8 pm and there was no dog nose nudging me at 8 pm. The entire apartment is set up for them and I can't change a thing, I even left the lights on all night for Bailey so she could see if she came home and the water down and a blanket for Emmett. They both lived amazing lives, Bailey just turned 15 and Emmett 13, but that was still not enough time for me to have with them. I think some people I know really understand how I am suffering but mostly I think that other sheepie people understand because an OES is not just a dog, they are soulmates. Thank you to everyone here who has been so kind to the three of us over the years, it has meant so much that we can come here. Betsy Bailey and Emmett who are at peace forever |
