As a related problem, in the morning if he doesn't eat his breakfast he'll usually throw-up within 2-3 hours of waking. We know he's perfectly healthy (I think I finally made the final payment on the new wing at the Vet's office) and the vet thinks t cue of stomach acid. He gets a cookie riht before bed-time and that solved the barking as soon as he wakes up which he used to do. Should I switch or keep on making the food more interesting? |

I don't know for sure, but I do think dogs get bored of the same food day in day out. I had Remy on Acana (made locally) I wanted to support them because it's a good quality food, and they support the SPCA by donating their food to them. But she hated it, I did the same thing to get her to eat, everything like tuna juice if I had a salad. Any meat from our supper, plain boiled water over the top and softening it up would make her eat it, chicken broth. Adding canned dog food to it, anything but plain old dry. But the constant adding of something would upset her bowel movements, we'd get hard one day and soft another...sooooooooooo we switched her to Nutro, she loves this stuff dry and I finally have hard stools again...everybody's happy.
I also give her Nutro soft canned food on ocassion as a treat, keeping in the same line of dog food. |
