Car aggression issues

Now with a puppy, transporting two dogs makes for a very full car. When going to daycare in the morning, both are calm and the puppy is fine sitting next to Dublin. For the second time now, on the way home, if Dublin sits in the back seat where Abbey thinks is her area, she starts growling and snapping at Dublin. Thankfully Dublin is a good sport and does not retalliate, but Abbey really gets crazy to the point that the care is pulled over and she has to get out until she calms down. Abbey will be 16 weeks old in a few days and I want to stop this now before it turns into something worse.

Has anyone experienced this with a puppy and an older dog before in the car? Any suggestions?

Thanks.
