I have taken pictures in to show the puppy cut and his body is looking pretty good but the face still looks rather poodleish, he's got a uni-brow and think the nose is trimmed too short. She's a wonderful woman and since sheepies aren't too common up here I don't know if she's ever seen one let alone groomed. Butch really loves her and I don't want to hurt her feelings but I've been all over this forum trying to print off pictures that I think give a good closeup of what his face should look like so if anyone has a great picture or suggestion I would really appreciate it. I did take a couple in and she got the idea of his ears and body pretty well it's just the face that seems to be a problem. |

try showing her a picture of the look that you want. am sure she would prefer to do it how you like it. |
I believe I mentioned that I have taken pictures in from the forum showing the puppy cut. Believe me she is trying and is a wonderful person so I think if we can get past the uni-brow poodle look we'll be ok. We trimmed it back a little bit and now it does blend better. Will keep working on this and it s/b fine. |
A basic thing she could try is making the facial/head hair all the same length. Most people like the look that a shaved dog gets as it grows out to the fluffy stage, so if you trim it all one length, you can replicate that "grown out" fluffy look. It may not be your ideal, but maybe a good starting point?? |
That is basically what we are trying to go for, need to grow the hair a little more on the nose, think that is part of the problem with the poodle look. Next month we'll try again. |
