YES! I thought I had the only piggy Sheepdog! My female did it when she was a puppy...when she went to poop , she would grunt with the piggy nose8O... Now at 2 she does it when I clean her ears I don't hear it when petting or cuddling These dogs are funny! |
Yup, I have one giant piggy and one smaller piglet when it comes to the grunting. Oddly, the big piggy is not the fat piggy that you all think. It's the other way around. |
Not the sheepies, but Glacier really grunts piggy style when getting her lovies. It's so cute. |
not only does she make her piggy noise when excited but that is also the warning to look out as the pee is about to fly When she is sad she makes an ear piercing whine that has the same affect as nails on a chalkboard |
Chewie does when he is excited and happy...the funniest is when doing rally. My instructor and classmates just hope!!! he is in an excited mood at class so they can hear him grunt and snort! |
Jenny doesn't make piggy noises, but she does sound like she is roaring like a lion sometimes when she yawns, it's the funniest thing. |
Aska does it toooo ! When I clean her ears, lift her in to the car and sometimes even when I'm bathing her I think it's cute ! |
Yes Tiggy makes the piggy noises too! Usually when she's getting some lovin' and a bit when I clean her ears. She makes a funny lion noise combined with big open mouth at the cat when he's getting too close to us when its her turn for loving with me. I think its a go away she's mine all mine message. The cat gets it and goes. |
Mika is such a little piggy! She snorts and grunts whenever she gets belly rubs or gives us big sheepie hugs. It's way too cute. |
I always thought that Mady sounded more like a Wookie, but maybe there is some piggy in her too. |
I have not heard a piggy noise yet, but Gordy talks to us and sounds like what I think a moose would sound like. It's really cute! |

My instructor and classmates just hope!!! he is in an excited mood at class so they can hear him grunt and snort! In Chewie's case it's inherited. His grandmother, his mother, siblings. Once when I was showing his Mom I had her all stacked nicely and was tickling her to convince her to stand still - you'd think that would make her wiggle, but it actually worked in reverse - she started making little happy grunting noises as the judge approached. The judge, a very stern faced German, looked at me and declared: "Your dog GRUNTED at me!" I said: "Yes, m'am, she's part pig". She was NOT amused and gave us reserve Kristine |
