Well, with this group we do understand. |
LOL, I know what you are feeling. Chewie is the only OES at the agility trial this weekend...and he is the STAR!!! (see, we are such a humble bunch! ) |
May as well lap it up! It has only not worked for me once and that was yesterday at herding. Everyone thought Tiggy was too cute with her pink topknot tie to be any good with sheep. But we showed 'em. |
We always love the attention the dogs get when we are out! They are gorgeous and they know it!!!! BTW...Congrats Mim! |

But we showed 'em. Mim - same thing with us when we went to our 1st weight pull..... He was in full show coat, and I always take him out in public well groomed.....so he was all fluffed and looking like a show boy...plenty of looks, eye rolling..."some chick and her show dog".... We really showed them when he hunkered down and outpulled so many dogs!! |
SheepieBoss wrote: Well, with this group we do understand. Yep!! And I always feel that way too. I can tell when people are proud of their dog/breed, but when they see our dog...it's like their dog no longer matters. Nice feeling |
Since oes are fairly rare in our area I am very proud of the looks Butch gets. Everyone notices them that's for sure. |
I have no doubt but that Mady outshone them all. Sheepies really are showstoppers. And Mady's especially cute. You just make sure that you soak up all that admiration and savour it fully! |
Mady is a star! And as Wendy has in her signature...If its not a Sheepdog, its just a dog! Congratulations on having a great day and having everyone notice your OES Star! |

I love how when they know they are getting all the attention and looks and they seem to walk with their head higher and a little more swag in their step. Looks like they are saying, "Yeah im gorgeous and I know it, be jealous" |
As the unbiased observer that I am, I must admit that Oscar is ALWAYS the most beautiful dog anywhere he goes. Except when we used to go to SheepieFest, of course! Then it was quite a beauty contest! Seriously, people "ooh" and "ahhh" over Oscar wherever we go. They used to do it to some extent with Quincy Bear, but people seem to go nuts for Oscaroo. If my pup didn't have his health issues, I would have pursued using him in advertising. I think he might have been able to pay for his own medical bills! Laurie and Oscar |

Kim, next Sheepiepalozza, you have to make plans to come. Its in St. Louis and thats the sheepdog capital for three days. Sheepdogs galore and every single one of them cute as buttons. You would be wearing a smile for months after just thinking about it. |

I wonder if they knew that they were all sheepies? |

More than two and I just couldn't take it! I so agree! I've yet to see a pack of OES's with my own eyes, but when I see photos of Sheepiepalooza, I just melt! I wish we had more OES's in my area, but we'll settle for being the star of our own little off leash park Sunny always gets "what a beautiful dog, oh, she's just gorgeous" and I want to say "yes, but did you notice how ADORABLE she is too? She's not just pretty, she's dang cute too!". It's like I need strangers to appreciate every aspect of her wonderful-ness |
