The tour would be for 2 years. Josh and I will not leave any of our pets behind and are trying to find what the quarantine would be in Brazil for animals flown in from another country. Does ANYONE know where to find this information? This may greatly affect our decision on whether to accept the position or not. |

That sounds exciting esp. if you can bring the dogs. My husband was going to take a job as a foreign affairs officer (countries all over the world), and our drawback was the dogs and more importantly the safety of our children. I basically googled and then called that country as well as airlines. I always called twice b/c they would give me different info!!! |
Hi, Call the embassy in Washington, DC. The phone number I have for the Brazilian embassy is 202-238-2805. It is important to call the embassy in DC, because in many cases the local consulate is an honorary position and they may not know all of the appropriate rules and regulations. I have traveled with my cats to many parts of the world where I have worked with very few problems. It nice to come home to a familiar face when you are adjusting to a new locale. Kathie |
