My poor little girl :( !
I haven't checked the forum for about 3 days (I think thats a looong time, I check it about 3 times a day  ) because Aska is very sick  . On Monday I saw that her eyes were pretty swollen and red. So I called my vet and they said that I should come and they would check her. When I arrived they said the she had a eye infection and give me some drops. And I went home and everything was ok. And in the morning her cheeks were so swollen! So I called the vet and they said I should see them the next day if she wouldn't be better. I didn't sleep much that night... she didn't want to sleep and didn't eat and didn't want to go out... and she was just whining and I couldn't touch her... And she just threw up and had diarrhea My other dog was a Pekingese, he died because he ate rat poison,and he acted like this to! So I was very scared that she ate it to ! Next day she wasn't better so I went to the vet first thing in the morning. They took her in and said they'd keep her on for the day. They said that it could be a rat poison or allergies. They took some X-ray photos and something more. And they said I could call them tomorrow and I hope that it's just some flu... My poor girl... now she has: fungal infection, eye infection and maybe allergies !  |

| Hope your little princess is doing better and truly hoping she had not got into "Rat Poison" The main way they deal with that is to notice it in time and huge doses of Vitamin K injections so they dont bleed internally to death. Keeping fingers crossed for Aska that it is just a buggy thing and she did not get into the rat poison. |

| Hi everyone Thanks for all the warm words  !!! Aska is great now !  Her eye infection is gone and all of the other stuff!  She eats well and has started playing again The vet said that she has allergies but there are many, many dogs coming to the Vet like Aska. And she just ate something bad. |

| Glad she is okay! You mentioned rat poision, I would check around to be sure any thing like that is out of her reach...or anywhere where she can get it on her paws and then lick...And think of places that aren't obvious. That sounded like a severe reaction to something if it was allergies. Sounds like she got into something she was allergic to rather than eating it. I would really want to check around to see if she may get into it again. Hope she continues to be healthy. |

My dad has been calling the men who does the rat poison, and he hasn't put any rat poison bags here in ''Seltjarnarnes''. And she is allergic to I think hot dogs :/ So, from now on she only gets food made for dogs Poor girl she loooves hot dogs and Icelandic liver dog ( heheh don't know how to say it in English :/, its not a hot dog but its a liverdog  ) And Aska is feeling great ! | I am so happy that Aska is feeling better!! I know how scary it has been for me and frustrating that they can't tell us what is wrong, and then the vet doesn't diagnose the problem right away. |
