waxing

i re-waxed my dog walking coat yesterday afternoon, does anyone know anything about this art? its lovely and shining, few gloopy bits where i applied too much which i presume i can reheat and spread around. but my main concern is drying time, its still tacky to touch, do i need to buff it or something?

the instructions i had stopped at "now hang to dry"
