Note that the ad indicated he's free. Rescue may be able to assist if the owner would accept assistance and if a foster home can be located. Please PM me if you are interested in contacting the owner. |
Jaci, I pm'ed you. Thanks! |
Thanks Jennifer! |
I spoke with the gentleman that placed this ad. He actually has 2 male sheepdogs that he is looking to re-home. He unfortunately had a death in his family and is unable to care for them any longer. They were used as studs for Addison Acres. According to the owner, both males are still intact, have their hips and eyes certified, and have their "DNA on file with AKC". Both are very sweet dogs, however Hunter does not get along well with other males. They both like to sleep in bed with their humans, and enjoy plain cheeseburgers from McDonalds. This gentleman does not want to work with a rescue. He seems to genuinely care about Hunter and Wellington, the circumstances are just beyond his control. If anyone is looking to add a new sheepie member to their family please contact the owner through the Craigslist ad Jaci posted. Both sheepies are posted as "Free", but it seems he will be quite picky on who actually adopts them. Thanks so much Jaci for all your digging on this one! |
Im glad hes being picky. Seems he would accept a rescues help though seeing how they are "picky" too. Hope he can find them great homes. I would love more but my husband would put me on craigslist. |
Thanks for contacting the owner for more information on these boys, Jennifer. We're hoping a couple of families on OES.org are looking for new companions and will neuter and adore these boys. You can find pictures of them on the owner's website. |
Just a quick update on this. Ken, the owner, emailed me again last night and said he was going to have them neutered before they went into a new home. I just want to stress that Ken seems to really care about these boys and want the best life for them in a new home. Just as Jaci said, we are hoping if someone from oes.org is looking for new companion, they will consider one of these boys. |
