Your beadwork is stunning. I've never seen anything as intricate. Do you do it like embroidery, but fasten each bead with a stitch? |
That is kind of amazing. Do you make up a sort of "paint by number" map so you know how to follow it or is all by eye? |
Thank you for all you comments and sugestions on Anastasia's picture I like the picture that you guys pick too, so I soon I finish the proyect I am doing rigth now I will get started on her. I take a picture of the motif, blow it up to a reasonable size and printed in a pieces of cotton fabric, after that I just apply sew the beads in rows trying to give the picture shadows and lights and in the case of Hopes picture I try to add texture to follow the pattern of the hair Yes you can say is pretty similar to paint by numbers but with beads and a lot of imagination. I am working right now in a face of a English Bulldog for my nice, and I have made an Eagle head for a friend of mine and some other design of my own with not picture in the back ground just a drawing. After the Bulldog I am planning on do Anastasia’s picture, and then a project for a friend of mine, I love doing it is very peaceful and calming. I think I like doing more OES dogs because the hair and the expressions, they are funny and pretty and a challenge to do , if somebody is interested on a bead portrait of there OES or other , let me know we can talk and see if I can do it for you Hope’s picture is 8 x 12 or so, and took me around 3 or 4 months to make. |
Your creativity is awesome! What a beautiful tribute to your Hope |
Beautiful beading of a beautiful face , bet it would work with embroidery cotton too. |
