I'm soooooooooooo excited about COLLEGE FOOTBALL starting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LIVE FOR IT!!! Although I have 2 days, 2 hrs, and 40 min until I can see my Texas AGGIES play!! I love that we live close enough to let the boys grow up going to all the games! |
Being Canadian, I didn't really understand what college football meant to you folks down south until I happened to be in Ann Arbour Michigan during a weekend when two huge rivals had a game. I want to say Michigan State was there, but am not sure I remember correctly. Anyway, it was crazy. Insane, crazy, out of control. And it wasn't just young college students. I saw retirees going crazy too! Chaos, mayhem in the streets! It was years ago, but it was so unexpectedly wild that I won't ever forget it. I remember seeing many naked men running around with painted faces. Ahh the memories of youth. |

Frankie says GO BLUE We live about 20 minutes from the Big House. Our first home game is Saturday. And yes Ann Arbor is crazy crazy on game day. Lisa and Frankie |
The talking heads @ ESPiN named my college team as one of the six teams to be favored in all of their games this year. They split their picks for the BCS game and the winner - but we were one of the "three" winners named. The multimedia department is releasing a 4 volume DVD set of the history of our football program - the most storied program, ranked #1 of all time. volume one comes out later this month and I can't wait. I preordered a copy for each of my kids too. The guys went through 80,000 hours of game footage, coaches' shows (one of our guys was the first to have a college football show - over 45 years ago) and miscellaneous sources. I would have paid to see it all. And as you enjoy your college games on TV, give thanks to my college team and the University of Georgia for suing the NCAA for the rights to the games. Otherwise we would be back to seeing one or two games on Saturday - national games only, no regional coverage and limited to two appearances a year. I am so ready for 6 PM Saturday. |
Saturday is our first game!! Can't wait!! Good ole Rocky Top!! LOVE LOVE college football! GO VOLS!! |
GO BUCKS!! We had to listen to it on the XM radio... no tv coverage of the game here. Being from OHIO we love our buckeyes! And the OSU/MI game is a HUUUUGE deal in this house! |
