Thye looked her over and tested for Lyme's which is prevelant here. And are treating her for a UTI...But my question is...She didn't exhibit any excessive urination. Can she have a UTI without excessive urination? The test results are due back today. Meanwhile she is taking an antibiotic and temp is back to normal and she seems her normal annoying self. The test for Lymes came back negative. |

no, frequent urination isn't always seen. Glacier was diagnosed with a UTI when we went for thyroid testing. While there I decided the old girl needed a full panel (I must be expecting to win the lottery to pay the vet bills) and lo and behold, the old girl had a UTI. NO SYMPTOMS. She holds her urine all night (thanks to Prion). |
Yup, SheepieBoss, you are correct. Test came back with a UTI infection and no excessive urination. Only symptom was licking alot and then of course the fever. She is on meds. Clamavox ( spelling?) and is doing well. Fever gone...Now I feel bad I didn't take care of this earlier |
Owen had a UTI with no excessive urination before, too. Also, he turned 2 in July and I also call him "The Little One." He is technically the smallest of the three and the youngest but people always laugh at me when I call him little. |
