Round em up, cowboy !

We are researching fencing for an exercise area in
our yard. Has anyone used the fencing by Best Friend Fences?
It looks promising !

We have an invisible fence, the Canine Fence brand. I know it's more expensive then what you are showing with the Best Friend Fence but it really works well for us and they really enforce the training aspect. It's definitely better if you start them on the fence as puppies because our new 5 y.o. isn't grasping the concept as easily but it does work. The key is in the training, as you really need to set up the boundries as some dogs who aren't trained to retreat towards the center of the yard will develop phobias about going outside at all. I also do not leave our dogs unattended outside for peace-of-mind but it's great that I can have them run around the yard off-leash. Also if you have children you need to make sure they cannot adjust the frequency levels of the fence which happened to a friend of ours.

Remember, with invisible fencing, your dog may not get out, but other animanls can get in. If there's a roaming bully in the neighborhood, your dog is trapped in his yard.
And it doesn't deter people from wandering in to say hello to your precious.....
...or to steal them.
Nothing like a good, physical fence. Just remember these guys can climb!
We have a regular fence AND an invisible fence. Truman used to take a running leap over the fence and off he'd go to visit an elderly man who lives a couple houses north of us. Now he stays in the yard with no problems. We take him to visit his friend occasionally 'cause this man is nuts about Truman. As a side note: We had our living room painted this week and the two painters loved Truman! We took him to doggie daycare the first day so he wouldn't get in their way. They were disappointed that he wasn't there and asked us if we would leave him at home for the next couple of days so he could keep them company! They said he just laid in the living room and watched them paint! Isn't it fun when everyone loves your dog!!??!!
