Jeri Hoppe (Four Square OES) happened to call out of the blue and asked if I had an OES with enough hair to be used for a grooming competition. I thought about it for about 0.5 seconds... These are my before pictures (meaning she's not "done up", just...hairy) Upon return (so I didn't get to see her all "done up", though I can just imagine she was adorable!) (With apolgies to Jeri for not doing her work justice. Mace was a little fidgety on the table, wanting to get back to the important things in life... ) And now that she's functional again: Many thanks to Jeri!!! And the next time she's looking for an OES for competition in your area -go for it!!!! Kristine & Macy the Former Yak |

Yeah, but I doubt she smelled like a yak! She lovely with her, "I just washed my hair and it's evident I need to call the hairdresser look." |
She's beautiful! Oh my... I love the picture of her clearing the jump!! |
Gorgeous!! |
Macy is just so beautiful either way. |
She is Beautiful all "done up".. and such a happy looking girl. |
She's gorgeous.. I also love the picture of her jumping. Lisa and Frankie |

Now she's a bit more managable |
Soooooo pretty. Love the pics!! |
SO THAT IS WHAT A SHEEPDOG IS SUPOSE TO LOOK LIKE JUST STUNNING |
Very pretty. But where were the Yak pictures? |
I believe this is what prompted the Yak comment: Of course, when he saw her (I brought her to a dinner party, doesn't everyone bring their yak to dinner parties? ), I had my usual two top knots on her hairy head and she was indeed quite the sight... As a comparative look (scroll down a bit till you get the picture ): http://www.springbrookranch.com/Yak/Yak ... _page.html KB |
OMG, I can't let Todd see those Yaks!! He has always threatened to get a longhorn......and these guys are like a llama and longhorn all in one!! (And for those who don't know, we got a llama mamma yesterday - due in June 2011 and her name is Stefany!) |
She looks gorgeous! I wish the grooming fairy would visit me once in awhile, although Jenny hates to be groomed, which is why she is usually in a puppy cut. |
She looks beautiful and I love that happy face. I am lucky enough to have a grooming fairy. Her name is Lisa. |
Mim wrote: She looks beautiful and I love that happy face. I am lucky enough to have a grooming fairy. Her name is Lisa. Mine is (usually) named Sunny.... Unfortunately she's the fairy grooming mother for a lot of OES and looked a little panic stricken when she last saw the yak! Kristine |
Poor Sunny! So far Lisa has maintained her composure and risen to every challenge. Even a Tiggy who stunk of fox spoor. |
I got to see the (former) yak today and not only is she beautiful but she smells good too |
Simon's Mom wrote: I got to see the (former) yak today and not only is she beautiful but she smells good too Yup. A huge step up from her sister who has so much head coat she got it wrapped around a weavepole last night and got stuck! Less hair for her by next week, too, if I have my way. Better smelling too. W/o professional help it may not look so good.... but hopefully Sunny will fix the worst of my mistakes before the national. Great class last night, Pam. Simon is doing awesome! And your front crosses are really coming along. KB |
