I usually brush through all of her her once every two weeks now, with some spot brushing in between, maybe face and legs. And I normally only bathe her whites. Unlike her sister, who is part pig, and because I have't been showing/trialing her for some time, I probably only bathe her whites once a month and her entire body...it's probably been six months...? I'd do her face and butt in between as needed. I'll be giving her an entire body bath this week in preparation for the (American) national specialty (big OES only dog show) next month. She finished her breed championship about a year ago; I was bathing her whites at least every two weeks then, and her entire body maybe once a month? Now that I'm about to start trialing her in agility (next month) she'll be in the public eye more, so bathed more. Mostly her whites, though. It's rare for me to go this long with a full body bath for any dog, but she's one of those dogs who just tends towards clean. Mind you, she's four years old now, so has her adult coat. I did my share of crying and cursing when she went through coat changes and bathed her a lot more frequently then as full body baths, after I had brushed her out, seemed to help clear her puppy coat. Her sister, the pig? We won't talk about how often she should be bathed It really depends on the dog and you sort of just develop a rythym of what works for each dog. Kristine |
WOW!!!! Great pics!!! YOU have an untapped talent that needs tapping, honey!!! So, are YOU the official photographer for the NATIONALS?????? Is there anywhere we can vote for you to BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee???????????? |

Is there anywhere we can vote for you to BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee???????????? Haha! Yeah, I can just see the agility judge when I make you guys rerun the courses 4-5 times till I get my shot. NOT! Our performance photographer is coming all the way from FINLAND! She does agility and obedience with her own OES and she's a superb photographer, so.... Only downside is building layout and lighting may not be conducive to great action shots this year. C'est la vie. Still happy to not be risking rain! Kristine |
Doing good with the new camera! At least dogs have legs and body parts with this one..... I bet Mace feels so much lighter....saying I can fly...as she goes over the jumps Nice to hear Jenni's coming too... and she really does take super photos. |
