And a sweet, beautiful baby he is! Isn't it nice to know the breeds that make up our beloved mixes? People laugh when I say Meesha is part Schipperke but that's ok |
Mesha looks like a very big Schipperke. I've only met a few and was entranced by them. |
Very interesting! Harry is just adorable too |
Very interesting! I wish the test were cheaper so that more people would do it. The results can be so curious! What a funny mix but a beautiful result. |
>>>>Loves Harry It's so easy to see why you fell in love with him - that face and those eyes are so expressive!! Hmmm an English Tickhound...or Old Coonhound ...or Sheephound? Marianne |
Well..it looks like that pretty boy got all the best of all the breed involved!!!! What a cutie!!!!!!!! |
I'm never sure how accurate those tests are from what I hear from vets, but ...at least yours makes some sense! Some are out there!!! You should post more pics! Harry is gorgeous ...and those eyes say sooo much! |
What a gorgeous boy Harry is!! Congrats!! |
The Handsome Dude thanks you for your kind words. Since I had been out of town, this guy with this new found status as a sheepdog, insisted he had to sleep on the bed last night and kiss Mom every few minutes. "I knew I was special and now have the paper to prove it." Maybe some day I'll find the camera so as to give you updates on this guy who is now 8 or 9 years old, greying in the body a bit, but sill "The Perfect Dog" as well as "Handsome Dude." This guy's hair never mats and only needs the undercoat combed out once a year in May or June. For him, brushing isn't necessary, just a joy. |
Well, I just read the enclosed literature for Harry, the % OES, Coonhound, It. Greyhound is small, there's even more but not identifiable. Perhaps so many different or breeds not yet cataloged in their database. A real multi-mix. No matter, I'm thrilled they found OES in him at all! Ah, and here's the Dude now wanting a kiss......what a love. |
Susan, WHO could resist that wonderful boy indeed. What a sweetie he looks like. Isn't it about time to meet up in Santa Fe for the Opera? |
Ali: Harry is the "wanna be" as you identified him. Now we know he's a "little bit sheepdog." He's about 8 now and greying in a most dignified manner. He's still my main protector. You are a little late on the opera season. Ends in the next two weeks. I only got to three performances as Paul had his hip replacement and I was tied up playing nurse for two performances. Had to sell the remaining tickets. It's been rainy all season up there. The night I was there for 'Hoffman the rain was coming down so hard you couldn't hear the soprano....that's a hard rain. Only one aria lost. There's always next season. |
my luck. i would have loved Mdm. Butterfly! Let's plan NOW for next summer! A DEFINATE! |
