Disney opening luxury pet resort Florida
Pluto never had it so good: The next major attraction to open at Walt Disney World won't be for kids-it will be for the dogs. Best Friends Pet Resort, scheduled to open Aug 27th will offer not just boarding, but also bedtime stories, and a water park for dogs. The luxury facility will accomidate way more than 101 Dalmations. With more then 50,000 square feet of space, half of it outdoors, it has room for 270 dogs, 30 cats and assorted other animals, including birds, potbellied pigs,and small mamals like hamsters and guinea pigs. | I can tell everyone this is a first class set-up,as with anything Disney does. Your pup is treated as a guest with all the bells and whistles and you will have to come interact with your pup twice a day. I was told in confidence the larger dogs are so much more quieter than the little dogs. Thought that was kinda neat to hear.LOL! Robin |
| That sounds like the place my mil was talking about ...I'm not 100% but they're bringing their dog to our trip in october, and they keep going on and on and on about the greatness of everything they hear!!! Wish we could bring Yuks! They're driving. |
| Disney still has a kennel at Animal Kingdom also,but this one in particular is the newest,largest,fancier kennel near the Magic Kingdom. FYI-Free dining was just extended through Mar.2012. We visit at least once a year, since 1990 and we drive,takes about 10 hours. Robin |
