Anyone familiar with the OESWWF?
Hubby leaves quietly for work. Before going he walks dogs, feeds them, and returns them to the bed. I sleep happily and comfortably through this all. He leaves, almost quietly. The dogs rest and snuggle for a few minutes. I foolishly think, "Hmmmm...this is sooooo nice." while scratching ears on both sides of me. Then, the Old English Sheepdog World Wrestling Federation bell rings in the head of one or both sheepies. And a full on, full body wrestling match breaks out on the bed instantaneously. No one actually starts it. The discussion to begin must take place in some weird psychic format. The only problem? I'M IN THE BED. And apparently I'm the wrestling mat. What a nice way to wake up, and then be trapped for an extended period. Ironically, no one kicked, scratched, or bit my face. They did seem to respect that, which was good, as my arms were pinned under the blanket and they both rolled all over me during the match. (For the record, I think Hudson won on points. There were too many pinnings to declare a winner that way, but if wiggliness counts, then the match goes to Rudy.)    |

| What a wonderful way to wake up!!!!!! (sorry)....But thank you for a GREAT laugh, on this happy, but boring Friday morning....... as I mentally visualize you as the MAT, Rudy and Hudson playbowing to start the show..and then.....GO TIME!!!!!!!!!!...  |
| Oh, I don't have the OESWWF in my house. But I do have it's sister station the Old English Sheepdog Pin Down Competition. I wake with Wendel pinning my chest down, Asterisk pinning my legs down and now Levi pinning down my belly. Once the magical words "Let's go OUTSIDE!" is muttered, I then get six back legs digging into the flesh of my body to launch themselves towards the back door. We should compare bruises sometime! |

| This happens at my house but its not in bed in the morning. Its the evening and the living room. Running, jumping, and full on body slams. I just get out of their way. |

For safety I've moved the coffee table off the middle of the floor rug. So now they have their own wrestling mat. |
| I really love the first, regulation move. It's often overlooked on the bed (not enough room) but in any other venue it's game on. First the stare  , and the come hither look.Next, the slow motion walk until they are face to face  , noses almost touching.Then each steps slightly to their right  , resting left shoulder on left shoulder, left legs/paws wrapped and locked  . (I'm told it's a throw back to the OES's traditional Japanese/Sumo roots.)Eyes lock in a death stare  .An imaginary bell goes off in both heads simultaneously.  And the games begin!   While I watch from the sidelines.  |
It has beeen YEARS, since Sam left, that we have been so entertained. sigh  |

| we have this! But our girls actually get in the ring... We're having our lower level renovated to be Adam's studio. He had the concrete floor treated with a staining and etching process; and had a large compass rose put in the concrete. Its a very pretty circular image with rays coming out from the center. ANYWAY: Tonks and Luna love to get down there, and wrestle within the compass rose (its pretty big). So we joke that the "get in the ring" and FIGHT! |
