got sheep wrote: Looks great!!! So where are all the water pictures of Heart and Pearl??? Following up on my St. Louis visit -- we were on our own in the afternoon while Val and Judi were at work but I met up with them later for a fun Mexican dinner in a really cute neighborhood followed by a walk to a place that sells meat flavored snow cones for dogs! I think Judi got pictures of the dogs enjoying their cones. This is the group (Maggie, Val, Henry, Heart, Judi and Harry): Afterwards, there was a sheepdog party in Judi's basement. It was fun! Maggie had been so nervous at the restaurant and in town (she is noise and commotion sensitive) but she really relaxed and enjoyed herself in the basement. Harry wanted badly to play with Maggie, who sometimes would oblige him, and Henry, who wasn't sure if Maggie would let him. The interactions were hilarious. Heart and Harry are clearly best friends who can really be themselves with each other. Henry's got the toy! Doesn't anyone want it?? Heart is just so outrageously cute! She loves her momma. |

Lots of fun I have similar play pictures in Judi's basement too Aren't those dog snow cones cool??? We stopped with Harry - Chewie, Martha and foster Otis and they LOVED them! For awhile they had a picture I took of them all eating them on their website |
Harry had the best time playing even though he was the obnoxious sheepdog. He was so excited when he got out of the car and realized they were all coming into the house to play. Henry was so funny. I swear he was saying "Are you sure we shouldn't play with him Maggie? He looks like he really wants to play with me?" Finally when Harry stopped barking in his face and Henry was sure Maggie wouldn't care they interacted a bit. Over time Harry usually wears them all down to the point where they can tolerate him. Except Heart - they are like an old married couple and she usually has to snap at him several times ... which he is happy with. It was a lot of fun watching them all play. Maggie is so attentive to Henry it is really sweet. I am waiting for my pictures to be approved and will post them. |
How fun! Glad you made it safely to St Louis Val. It started pouring rain here about 10 minutes after you left. How nice that the weather wasn't so hot, and you could enjoy time outside with all of the pups! Where is the next stop??? |
Looks like so much sheepie fun! |
Here are my pictures from last night: Outside of Amigo's Mexican restaurant - Valerie, Henry, Harry, Heart and Val: Lovely Maggie stays away from the crowd: We walked over to the Farmer's Market a few blocks away where they have Tropical Moose - the sno cone stand that serves Canine Coolers (meat flavored sno cones). "Hey Mom, our sno cones are ready!!!" - The Sheepies dig into their sno cones - Harry is determined to get every last drop - Heart eats like a little lady - A certain sheepie boy with less than refined dining skills ends up with a dirty mouth - Henry is such a handsome sweet boy - Can you guess which sno cone cup is Harry's? Group photo: Heart, Harry, Henry, Maggie and Valerie - A close up of Heart, Harry and Henry - |
