| Got a call from Bette, picking Sud's up this afternoon. |
Picked up Philo (Sud's) last night.  He's way too cute in person! Except for the 2 inch thick mat that looked like a mohawk the entire length of his back.   We spent the evening cutting mats and bathing.  This morning the clippers were used in an attempt to even out the cuts.  He is SO thin I didn't want to shave him to the skin and have him cold all the time.  Vet says he is 12-18 months old. Little fellow, should top out around 55+ pounds. General concensus was he is a mix (beardie/oes) but now that he's cut down thinking poorly bred OES. He may not meet standards in his physical appearence but he is above average in personality. Silly, fun, quiet, velcro, energetic but not out of control, smart, sweet, and trusting. Loves other dogs and thinks cats are cool. Now that he has been to the vet, I'll see how he does with kids. I'm going to have a real tough time letting this one go....... |

| Less than two weeks and Philo went from being a matted, unrecognizable mess on the euthinize list to a clean cut happy little boy with a new family and his own adorable 5 year old girl. I can't tell you how much I miss him already and he just left 20 minutes ago.  |
Just think of how happy he and that little girl are when you get blue thinking about him. They will grow up together!  |
| Well just wanted to let everybody know ! That Mr. Philo after the long car ride is here at his new home . Devra I thank you and all that are involed with the OES Rescue of Colorado for the amazing things you do, and have done for this amazing little guy. Philo is the sweetes most amazing little guy . We love him so much he has settled right in as part of the family. Here in just a few minutes we are going for a walk so he can check out his new home I shal keep you and all posted with new pic's and progress we make together here . Philo say's hi and dont worrie he will be by to visit you Devra that is my promise. Kurt |
