| I confess that a few years ago I got reallyreally excited about getting new tires for my car. And I'm a female. I'd would love to get a new fridge (bottom freezer, if anyone wants to gift me). Nothing wrong with wanting nicer stuff, especially since you've had a dorm fridge for 2 years!!? |
| I slobber all over the bottom mounts as well. I dream of being able to see all of the refrigerator! I also swoon over the thoughts of lower cabinet drawers for the same reason as above; to see and use all the space. Lower shelves of anything are "unknown regions." Lately anything new makes me dizzy......I picked up some towels last Tuesday! |
I'd settle for having all the carpet yanked out of my basement and have a new paint job down their without having to do it myself! If there are any DH's out there willing to help me out send them my way, mine is pretty lazy  |
| Your post made me smile as I knew I was finally grown up (refuse to ever say I'm old) when I'd head to home decors rather than the clothing department. I'd get excited over a new fridge too! Lucky you!! Crustybirds, I'd come over and help you if I lived closer. I love installing floors and doing home renos...I know I'm weird.  |

| WOOHOO! It came!! It seems so BIG and SPACIOUS. lol I love, love, love it already. It is a Samsung bottom freezer french door model. A few years ago my sister in law got a bottom freezer model and I thought it was the coolest thing when I saw it. It makes so much sense as that is the part you look in all the time. So ever since then I told Lee that when we got around to getting a new one that was the kind that I wanted. When we moved to our current house, we had to buy new appliances, we bought a really nice stainless steel fridge. The first appliance I ever purchased. I loved it, so bright and shiny! One of Kim's nephews came over that week, he's young and I swear, his hands are always sticky with food/god knows what. He ran over to the fridge, and ran his hands up and down the entire length of it saying "so nice!", up and down up and down...leaving smudge marks all over it...  |
Getting new stuff is great, enjoy each and every piece  , We had our house completely re done along with all stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, drawers that close with just a small bump of the hip , porcelain floor and then because of hubby's illness we decided we should move closer to the kids. I do love my new older home and the setting it's in (from a subdivision to 2.5 acres in a lovely country setting) but boy I do wish I could have brought my old new kitchen with me.  |
| every couple decades i lose all my money so i can enjoy every lil thing all over again, it's truly enjoyable, but i won't and don't recommend it. not everyone can handle it. no, i'm not a degenerate gambler.  |
