Awesomely Bad Movie Night
We'd have a kung-fu night and watch Bruce Lee movies and eat take out chinese food. We would tie sheets around our bodies, put ties on our heads and karate chop each other. We'd eat soul food and watch some old school blacksplotation films like Dolomite, Shaft Goes to Africa, GI Bro, and Foxxy Brown. Not to mention Bad B rated movies by Trauma like the Toxic Avenger and The Gore Gore Girls Does anyone have a good movie list of Awesomely Bad Movies? I was telling my co-worker she should totally do a Purple Rain, Kiss and the Phantom Park, and Rock and Roll High school night. |

What does it mean that I have actually seen "Purple Rain", "KISS and the Phantom Park" and "Rock and Roll High School" (Gabba Gabba Hey)? Hopefully, it just means that I was a teenager in the 80's....  Here are some of my cult favorite bad movies: Motel Hell (o) Rocky Horror Picture Show (of course!) | Sometimes they really are so bad they're good... Top Secret (the puns are truly so bad they're good...) Con Air (not actually bad, but I don't understand why it's my all time favourite! Put the bunny back in the box is a classic line in our house...) Evil Dead (the original) If you can find a copy of Dead Man (Johnny Depp) it's weird, and probably has more depth than I do, but I loved it. I don't know if it's really a "bad" movie or not, but a night of eighties music and a screening of Heathers is always a blast! PS...I also agree you can never go wrong with Rocky Horror! |
| One of the worst had to be the first Schwarzennegger film. I think it was called "Hercules in America" or something similar. I don't remember much of this totally forgettable film except that his accent was soooo thick they overdubbed him. Hillarious. Edit: I just looked it up, the title was was "Hercules in New York". |
| I also love ConAir, which just floors me and floors my kids. Soooo not my usual thing. |
