I have an Oster A5 Turbo 2 Speed and a Wahl KM2. I'll reach for the Wahl every time. The Wahl has more power, is lighter in weight, fits better in my hand, doesn't get hot like the Oster and cuts through matted coats in no time. It's fallen off the grooming table and still works like a champ. Best of all it was cheaper than the Oster. IMO, it's IS the best buy out there. Andis has great clippers, too, several people here swear by them. If money was no object I'd buy a Laube but for the price you can buy three of most any other clipper. It's a professional clipper with a price tag to match. All of the above clippers use interchangeable blades and comb attachments. The mistake many first-time clipper buyers make is to select an inexpensive clipper. They may work fine for small dogs but with our big guys, the discount store clippers literally don't cut it. |
I have a Wahl KM2 as well and love it. |
I have the Andis ultra edge. I LOVE IT! It will cut through matted coat like butter. I was able to sheer my sheepies in no time flat; plus a SUPER matted OES that was a co-workers. Just like Nita said, it's awesome, because you can buy the same blades for all three clippers and they work great! If you are going for clippers, you may want to check PetEdge. They seem to have the cheapest prices on a lot of things. |
