Very sad..help?
My boyfriend has an appenzeller swiss mountain dog, Sunday moring at about 2o clock he was rushed to the vets (we werent there) but apparntly he was shaking, being sick, diarhea(sp) and was completly unresponsive. The vet said he had an infection, gave him an injection and tablets and sent him home. We got there sunday around lunch and i was so so shocked at the state of him, he had lost so much weight and didnt even get excitied to see his owner (usually he leaps and howls and is waaaay over the top!) He then had a drink and instantly pooed it out. I was really really surprised that he should be allowed to come home, ive never ever seen a dog that ill before. we left, and that afternoon Milo ran away. He hasnt come back since. He hasnt eaten for 3 days, this is his 4th. Its been terrible weather raining and cold. I took my dogs over yesterday, as there the most likely ones to find him. They didnt. Hes 8 so hes not overly old though. But he was so ill, he cant have gone too far. We dont know what to do, my boyfriend is inconsolable, and its just upset me so much i couldnt imagen what id do if it was one of mine. Does anyone have similar experiences? I just dont know what to do. I cant imagen well be able to find him now. p.s all the vets / police / dog wardens etc have been told. Thank you x  |
