Coz, my beardie actually howls and wakes himself up...then he looks very embarrassed... Pearl twitches and Heart has been heard whimpering and breathing very shallow in the midst of her dreams.... |
My dogs do it all the time! Asterisk is always 'running' in her dreams. Her paws twitch and so will her ears. I'm convinced Wendel dreams he's eating. He does this 'smile' for Asterisk when she gets too close to his bowl. He'll lift his upper lip and then flick his tongue out like a lizard. |
Oh yes, it is normal. China is my biggest "runner in her sleep" and on occasion a muffled bark, but all three have done it once or twice. |
yeah...panda talks in her sleep and runs....the funniest is when she is laying on her back with her feet against the wall and ''runs'' the wall.... |

Patch will be sleeping with all fours in the air with her back legs against the wall scratching and twitching and whining dreaming about finally catching that squirrel or kitty cat - she wakes me up occasionally with her crying and wimpering. Mady is dreaming fun dreams running after something - it is very normal. by the way, she is just adorable. |
Yep, all mine have done it quite frequently actually. When Rudy came to live with us he never sat down and rarely rested for more than ten minutes at a time. We knew he wasn't settling in yet. It was a few months later (after we started working on leadership stuff with him) that he came up on the couch beside me (a first) and fell asleep. He stayed for several hours. The first time he started dreaming and twitching tears rolled down my face. I knew he was finally comfortable being around us, and could let go and really sleep. Now he does it all the time. He's usually pretty quite about it still, but manages to land a few really solid kicks to my knee each time. |
