Awwwwwww, another sucker for a cute OES face..... They just blast their way into your heart, don't they? You'll just have to suffer through Mady withdrawal just like every other OES addict. Laurie and Oscar, Too Cute to Leave for Any Length of Time |
Oh I know what you mean...I am off for the summer and start back to work in September, so my days are full of Howie. My husband and I have a 'date' each day just to get out of the house and leave the pup on his own for a few hours. While we are out we talk about the dog the whole time! I think we have a harder time being separated than Howie does. peg, mark and handsome howie |
Funny you should bring up the separation anxiety missing Mady - I also experienced the same thing Friday. Patch had her teeth cleaned early morning, I took the day off so I could go get her when they called rather than her having to wait until I was able to leave the office. I was home for several hours alone without her and it was so lonesome. Patch is always home when I'm home, either sitting out on the front porch or backyard or in the house. It was an eerie feeling not having her here. She really dislikes the vacuum cleaner so I did get the vacuuming accomplished. |
Did you miss ME at all?????? |

Poor David. Kim who?? That little Mady has certainly wormed her way into her Daddy's heart. This reverse separation anxiety reminded me of teasing Harry this morning. I walk the "loop" of our street and sometimes don't take him if it is too hot. Everytime I pass our house Harry howls. This morning I went on a long walk and called home to tell Tim to take Harry for a short walk before it got too hot. When I got home they weren't back yet so I waited in the front room to watch for them. When I saw Harry coming I cracked the window and howled like he does for me. He came running in and mauled me with kisses. |
Todd gets mad when I pull in the yard and don't come in the house right away. Sometimes I'm finishing a phone call, or listening to something on the radio or one of my books on CD's...... Apparently the dogs all start carrying on and are barking and howling to see me. Tim should be happy there's just a Harry howling... |
Last week I had to be gone for 6 days--Baley started pouting and looking sad when he saw the 'big black boxes' (suitcases) out in the bedroom. The boys were home with Dad this time so I didn't worry as much while I was gone. He said each night Baley would just sit with his head resting on my side of the bed--but his body on the floor- and pouted for the rest of the time . Baxter is happy with either of us--but Baley not so much--Dad just doesn't always do things "right" and Baley loves his routine. When they all picked me up from the airport--Baxter plopped is big body in my lap and smothered me with kisses--Baley turned his head to the back window and ignored me all the way home. He finally decided to forgive me the morning after I came home and hasn't left my side since . It really breaks my heart when I go--if only I could explain... Maybe Skype calls to him every day might help! |
