Older Sheepie Getting Fixed

Don't worry, it's a good thing to do. One of my girls was spayed around that age, the other as a pup and the third at 5 years. Everything went great.  |
We just went through having our 2 sheepies speutered. They are both very close to 2 years old. It went well for our male, and I really believe it went well with our female too. The vet thought she may have got an infection and we gave her clavamox and a week later her stitches were removed. They are both doing well and as bouncy as ever. 
Keep an eye on him licking the incision, and if it starts to be a problem then an E-collar may be needed. They sale them at petsmart. I also kept them in a small dark room for the night, since they were so groggy. I kept food away for that night, and limited them on water. Annie was very sick at her tummy, but Jack did fine. Good luck and please let us know how Curtis is doing. I will be thinking of him in the meantime. He will do great!!
