My name is Marín and im from Iceland. I'm 13 years old and I have one sheepie named Aska. She's about 10 months old. In Iceland there are only 2 OES show dogs. Aska is not from them She's not allowed to show becouse of a terrible breeder! I wish she was a showdog! She's so buitiful. I go to every show to se Garún and Guy. Now there are obout 15 Oes in Iceland, Garun and Guy, and Aska and her siblings. I'm going to put photos when I now how If you can help me than please do! |

Hi and welcome from New Jersey. remember, there are a lot of us "non show dog" owners whose dogs are more important to us than any show dog could be. Just love Aska and that is all that really matters. |
Welcome! What beautiful pictures! |
Hello from Illinois! I think this photo is my favorite! |
Welcome from Australia!! I like this photo of you both. |
One fun thing about your beautiful dog is that you will find that she is on 'show' every time you leave the house! Because there are so few of them, and because they are such beautiful dogs, people will stop you in the street to tell you how pretty she is! |
Welcome! I really like the name Aska. Marin, why can't you show her? Do they have junior showmanship in Iceland? If you're not showing her because she isn't "show quality," I know in the United States, you only need a purebred dog to compete in this category since you're competing as a handler more than the dog being judged. It's a fun activity to learn and prep you for real showing someday if you want to do that. (I tried to look up junior dog showmanship but everything came back in Icelandic and I can't read it!) |
welcome from florida what a cutie you and your girl are |
Welcome from Texas! Aska is adorable! |

I can't show her becouse in Iceland there are only 2 dogshows a year! And I didn't get a pedigree, and in Iceland there are so STUPID rules and so boring people that dominate all of those showes. And Aska didn't get a Pedigree becouse her breeder said that HRFÍ (that means the Icelandic kennel) stole dogs from her! And now Icelandic kennel doesn't allow puppies from her dogs to get a pedigree ! And the roles in Iceland about dogs sucks! They aren't allowed ANYWHERE! But I want to show a dog, so my mom's best friend is going to let me show her Snaucher in the next dogshow But it doesn't metter if she's isn't a show dog she's my teddybear and I love her more than anything! - And thanks everyone for welcomeing me ! |
She's definitely a gorgeous teddy bear. |
