good news!
the bad news: all the schools i applied to are either in the chicago loop or out of state. i live with my parents in the northern suburbs right now, which is quite a trek to the loop that i wont be able to make everyday. so im moving to the city in july or august. which means i wont be living with walter anymore. my parents love him and pretty much take care of him 75% of the time now that im so busy with school, so im not worried that he wont be getting enough love or anything like that. its just goign to be very sad to live without the little guy. but ill only be an hour away which means i will see him every chance i get. and if his anxiety permits ill be taking him on field trips to the city... which might even be good for him. i guess well have to wait and see |

 Good for you!! Law school is pretty tough so not having to worry about tuition is a BIG relief. Poor Walty will really miss you, maybe someone could bring him halfway to you to make it easier to see him. Just pick one thing at a time to worry about or you'll drive yourself insane Congrats ! |

| Outside of St. Louie, I can't think of a better place to live than the loop. Chicago is one of my favorite towns - the restaurants in the loop are fabulous as I'm sure you know. Sheepies are pretty smart - do you think they might include Walter in your scholarship. Barney knows how to get around most of the laws around here!
Seriously, best of luck and congrats. At lest you'll know Wally is in good hands and will be there for you. |

Now the fun begins. My son's gf is in law school at George Washington in DC - first year. LOTS of reading, LOTS of writing, and just general LOTS of work! Get your rest now - you're gonna need it!! So glad to hear your parents will keep Walter, too. I know you've posted before about your mom threatening to give him away. I'm so proud of you and all the work you've done with Walter to make him a good boy! You should be so proud of yourself for that! Good luck! | I am so happy for you and so sad for you and Walter! I'm sure you'er excited as heck! Without you, who knows what would have happened with l'il Walty; it takes a special person to deal with an aggressive, biter, and without you... who knows, who knows.
Please keep in touch! PS I remember when Walter would go after you if you had to go back into the house after you left. I may have missed it (or, more likely forgotten  ) but were you ever able to resolve that particular nastiness? |
