And he was super happy and we have tomorrow! In JWW he knocked a bar - he was looking back to check me out on a rear cross. Just needs more training and experience. Otherwise it was a sweet run! In standard I helped him NQ. I didn't see that he missed the last pole, and went on - so we faulted that, and the next jump (broad) was an off course. Then he took down the top panel at the end - my fault again. Otherwise - he did so well. I even called him off the tire jump he wanted to take.... His 1st time with a table - and he did the auto down (not fast mind you, but did it without any help from me), then had to pop him up to sit. His look was priceless -"REALLY???" . And he nailed his contacts, he made me very, very happy!! And he was so happy. Seeing it was over 90 degrees and humid today, I was very glad our trial was indoors, on super cushy astroturf and AC! I downloaded it to youtube - I had a friend run my camera. It bobbles a lot at the beginning, but settles in before we start. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SBO3INucUU And I wore my new OES - Performance For Life shirt - it gets good camera coverage at the end Now I need to figure out my red, white and blue for tomorrow..... |

Nice video Dawn! And yes he did a beautiful job on his contacts! |
I loved his contacts too!!!!!....***Too funny...I am wearing THE same shirt as I type!! Chewie..you did GREAT!!!!!!! (can't wait to see what you do tomorrow!!) |
Sweet!!!! Good job both of you!! Contacts were great. Chewie looked very regal in his sit on the table. |
He really pays attention to you! These lapses today will be quickly forgotten, he's just got it in him to be a star where there is action and thinking. Rally isn't for him, he says it's "old man's sport" to be saved when he can't pull sleds anymore. |
Lovely job, guys! If you look, you'll see that he basically went where he thought you wanted him to go on the tire. Your shoulder is open and not indicating a turn. Good dog! If you had pushed him a little harder through that jump you could have turned your shoulder so that he really saw it and decelerated just past the jump and would have pulled him smoothly towards the weaves. It can be risky to play with a green dog in the air though, so the timing is critical and I probably would have done as you did. Contacts are gorgeous and beautiful startline! Kristine |
This was great! I loved watching you and Chewie work. Good luck today! |
Great run! It is fun to watch a calm OES run. Those are amazing contacts - we still don't have them in a trial for 2 out of 3 obstacles. I had to laugh because I recognized that high pitch bark as our Chewie. Hope you have more video from today. I still don't know how to upload mine. |
Day two - a good day! New post being made soon ...and link with video for one run. |
