I'm glad none of your pictures shows him at 48 lbs.....hair hides a lot. Now he's chunking up, don't let him get tubby just because he was half starved before. 84 lbs is about right. Isn't it wonderful to bring a guy back after somebody else abused them. You've got a friend for life! |
Thanks for the update. Its great to hear that Samson's going so well. |
Good news is...great news! |
He is definitely not fat, pure muscle. He runs about 10 to 15 miles a week when were out quading. He has amazing endurance and lopes along with little effort and like the other two dogs knows ever water hole in the area. Still working on his teeth, just about all shiny again not that ugly brown color. We love him and is a special part of our family. Grandchildren all call him Mr Mugg's after the books and he follows them like a shadow when they visit. Just glad we have him and he is safe, happy and healthy. |
Yay for Samson! How wonderfully lucky he is to have a family like you! He sure looks big, strong, and happy in your avatar picture. I grew up reading Mr. Muggs, and Rudy (our rescue sheepie) even has some pictures of Mr. Muggs on his blog. Whenever people asked me why we have OES dogs, I always say, "Because I was one of those kids who actually PAID ATTENTION to what they taught me in elementary school." |
Hooray! What happy news! |
so great .. thanks for the update |
