2. chasing the lawn mower...ie: my husband mowing 3. biting us in the back yard 4. snapping (play biting) at us when she doesn't get her way 5. bark in our faces 6. whine, bark or get hysterical when we leave the house 7. jump on people (in general, occasional boughts do occur) But I ponder will she learn not to: 1. try to chase cars on walks 2. bark at traffic ALL DAY LONG from our porch 3. sniff, lick us for 5 minutes every time we come home 4. stand WAY too close to all of our guests What do you all think? She's doing great!!! Really never thought we'd ever get over that first list. Is the second list reasonable? |

Dont know about 3 and 4. Are you teaching her not to chase and bark at cars? She might need to learn to do something else instead of the whole car thing. I had to teach Tiggy to chase a squeakie ball before I could convince her to stop herding other dogs. She still runs after any dog that runs but if I squeak her ball she'll come back to me, usually. The herding instinct was just too strong for a "no" to work. |
so chiquita really does read books? is she gonna be allowed to watch tv after list 2 is complete? |
Yes, she will learn if you patiently work with her to stop those behaviors. Congratulations on the first ones! |
I know this is one of those posts that pops up seemingly over and over but my boy 2 years old) has started that play biting again I am sure he got the reaction he wanted at least once but this is kind of out of the blue How did you get Chiquita to stop? |
