Unfortunately, there are 3 bugs that all bite me pretty hard. Bug #1) When typing in a text area box (like when you post on this forum) when you type a second line of text the text box goes crazy and the test you've type changes sizes and the formatting of the page changes. Big issue for me. Bug #2) When going into oes.org's website control pages which is a secure site, the Safari web browser crashes. Big issue, I can't control the site when I'm away from my desk now. Bug #3) When trying to switch users or to log into the same user for a second time on a secure site, there is some weird problem that causes the browser to return to the login screen each time instead of logging in again. Annoyance #1) The Blue Tooth keyboard system does not include any kind of a mouse interface, so to do anything other than a verrrrry long text, it is totally useless as you wind up having to pick up the phone very often to touch so many things on the screen. What a waste, and what a shame. Oh yeah, there doesn't seem to be any way of reverting back to the previous operating system. Before I upgraded I took a backup of course, but the first thing that happens after the upgrade is the system makes a backup automatically -- and Apple in it's wisdom keeps only 1 single backup of your phone. Just to be sure before posting this, I went to the Apple store today and confirmed these bugs and tested the keyboard with my iPhone 3GS as well as the "genius's" iPhone 4, so it's not just my phone, or the phone model that is the issue. Good lord.. why is everyone so enamored of this company? Rounded edges? |

Serious bummer. I thought I would get to the bit where you went back to the old system and had wasted lots of hours but its worse. |
That's really weird. I haven't noticed any of those issues. Just for fun, I'm even replying on my new iPhone 4. I haven't been able to replicate any of the problems you're having. Or is this just with the Bluetooth keyboard that you mean? |
No, the problems with the text box and secure pages were with or without the keyboard paired. When you reply to this post, try hitting return twice and start to type another line while you're in the text box. |
PS Are you using the Safari browser? I downloaded the mini Opera browser and it seems to work (mostly, with some annoyances and no proper security warnings) -- although it is not as nice an interface as the Safari browser. |
