Some of you know that Bingley is on a raw food diet. It is hard for me to always find green tripe to go with it - the tripe that is around our area isn't our favorite. Has anyone heard of or used Tripett? It looks like a neat alternative to frozen tripe. My parents are feeding their dog with it and she LOVES it . . . seems to be thriving on it. I'd love any comments!! |

Are you talking about in the can or from fresh my butcher started to offer it and would give a big ol bag and I had to cut it up. I felt so weak and sick. Last time I asked if is was possible to cut it in bite size pieces and he did! thank goodness oh the texture of it is so weird. Not to talk of the smell |
I've tried lots of fresh and frozen tripe but this Tripett comes in a can - still raw green tripe. I'm sure there must be some preservatives as well, which I'm not a fan of, but I'd love to hear some feedback from users. |
Hi Emily! We've missed you and Bingley. I don't have the Tripett available by me - I've never seen it until I looked it up online. We do have the Solid Gold canned tripe, but I see there are potatoes added, as well as a bunch of vitamin/supplement type stuff. I have used it as a top dressing on the dry food, and every one of my dogs loves it and had no bad effects. That's my only tripe experience.. |
