Today we are going to go look for carpet for the basement, a new grill, and an umbrella for the deck furiture. Tomorrow, we are going to Cincinatti to the gamblin' boat. Wednesday brings Amish country and looking for chairs for the kitchen. The rest of the week is up in the air, and that is just fine with us. If we do NOTHING it will be more than fine. I woke up a little bit ago to the sounds of silence. No kids, didn't have to jump up for work, no food to prepare. Max and John are sleeping in... Ahhhh... nice. |

Glad to hear you made it through all the celebrations mostly intact! I have today off and I know I'm enjoying it. Got up at 6, but went back to bed and slept for another 2 hours...it was great! ...and all this in time for your birthday!...... |
WooHoo, you survived! Have fun relaxing. |

More depressing than 50, because now I am "In my 50's"... LOL. I forgot to mention above ,that I also had my debit card and checks stolen from my purse...and SOMEONE tried to pass a check and use my card in Myrtle Beach and Delray Florida during the never ending party time....GRR. |
I did 30 & 40 with style and grace.....50 bothered me. I will turn 53 in Oct. and with my worsening lupus, I've decided to do the things I have wanted to do while I still can. The past 5 years have been a little painful but great. I had to retire about 5 years ago ( still having some problems with that...I loved being a trauma/transport nurse, and I really miss that ). We have increased our vacations ( thankfully, we're able to do this ). I've tried things that I have put off. I have made sure friends and family know not to invite me unless they are [i]really[i] sure they want to to come along, because I will more than likely accept. I've decided that life begins at 50 and I like the idea of a " Bucket List "...........Kathy & Chauncey |
