I am still in a state of shock. We may only have passed because we had a rookie judge but I was happy just the same. Now I have to worry about tomorrow because I never know which Harry is going into the ring. |

Harry got his second leg on Sunday!!!!!!!! The 1 minute sit stay in the group was a little shaky so of course I was nervous then that he wouldn't hold the 3 minute down stay but he did. I have a really cool (and unfortunately expensive) print I bought of him from him in the ring on Saturday. I will try to post it tonight if I can. My two legged guy was very tired yesterday evening. Now I just have to gut our way through the rally ring. He has been better behaved than he was six months ago when I pulled him from the ring but he knocked the bar in two recent trials so I am getting very nervous as we are doing the course. My heart is pounding as we approach the jump because he can't wait to do it in the ring. Thus his lack of control which results in the knocked bars. Yesterday he was shoving his way towards the jump and I was shoving him in the other direction as we did our 270 degree right turn. |
Whatever 'problems' you had in the Rally ring yesterday, were not obvious to anyone but YOU!!!!! Harry was amazing, but, Harry is Harry and we all wouldn't want him any other way... AND...in the middle of the course, one of the signs fell and I seem to be the only one who saw it..as Judi turned to face the sign, she looked at the judge, who was clueless, and Bless Judi's heart, she 'figured' out the correct sign...how??? who knows?? but she DID!!!!! , I had to laugh when, at the Start line, Harry was looking at his master...and right before the judge said, ARE YOU READY????? Harry gave one of his famous BARKS!!!!!!! I wish I had a camera!!! The look on Judi's face was priceless~ In the past..... Harry's bark is like LAYS POTATOE CHIPS>.....he can't do just ONE!~!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that boy is 'getting it'!!!! And it is all coming together!!!! |
Chewie's Samoyed buddy Gabby is a "talker" too. Gabby is gabby...imagine that! He give those "woofs" quite often - and his are happy ones, not frustrated ones, so Linda has to walk a really fine line with correcting the bark and not killing the enthusiasm. He still cant do a recall's front and finish without a single "woof" at each one! I can't wait to see the picture too! |
