Ground turkey is great. If you worry about bacteria, cook it first. The deal with Thanksgiving is the rich food all at once. It's not just turkey, it's the gravey, mashed potatoes, etc. Way too much fat for the dog (and us). When introducing a new food, do so gradually. A one ounce serving.......small cocktail size meatball is a good start. Gradually increase over time. For the dreaded runny dog poops, I boil ground turkey with rice. Husband thought it was his dinner and commented, " Good but needs salt." |
