ooooh... buddy. He looks kind of scared. Looks like he's been licking his left leg. You might share the link to the Texas OES rescue contacts to see if they might have someone waiting to adopt. |
Jaci do you have their email or contact info? |
Thanks for doing this, Erin! Wondering if he can hear. TEXAS Cindy Funderburke (Houston) cindysuefun@yahoo.com 713-444-1595 Texas OES Rescue Jim McDaniel (Houston) JWMCD42@prodigy.net 713-665-7206 Lone Star OES Rescue You can find the rescue contact information here- http://www.oes.org/html/oes_rescue.shtml I copy all the rescues in, sharing the info "just in case you have someone waiting to adopt". They can't help every dog and every dog can't be saved but most do try to help if they have room unless the dog is currently safe where he/she is. Note that some of the rescue contacts aren't active... some people never respond. |
Thanks, Jaci! I emailed them, hopefully they have some people that are looking for an OES in the area and can help him out. Breaks my heart whenever I see an OES at an animal control with the cage wire in the photos |
Me too. Hoping he'll be in a new home soon |
I just called to see if he was still there because the shelter is 25 min away from me and he was already adopted out. $20! I am so bummed. |
Sorry you missed out on him. Many dogs at animal control facilities can be adopted for very little... many reimburse a portion of the fee with proof of spay/neuter. Hoping he's going to a good forever home. |
