Thanks to all of you I had a chance to see the vet and was given a second chance! I had time to smell the flowers Laugh I had a chance to meet "Precious" who was returned to the SPCA because she chased the resident Rotweiller. I think she liked me. I had a chance to go to high school and meet nice teens. I will dream of all of you. |

Very sweet. Are you planning on keeping him, or will try and find a permanent home for him? |
AWWWW!!! I LOVE the last picture. Gilligan, as snug, as a bug ,in a rug. That warms my heart. Thanks for sharing Marianne! |

Gilligan- You are MORE than welcome!! |
Priceless, just priceless Debsx |
Not to be taken wrong, but I bet Gilligan thinks he has died and gone to heaven. Sadly, so many dogs in "good" homes never get to do half the stuff he has done, in the little bit of time he's been with you! |
got me crying anyone else in tears |
Hi, Thank you for all the comments. Got Sheep, you are right, Gilligan is one of those lucky ones. I didn't take it wrong as those thoughts have been in my head since Gilligan came home with me. There were many other dogs at the shelter who will never get that chance, unlike Gilligan, as he had someone to advocate for him. It hurts the soul to think about it.I can't help thinking of the 13 year old LabX who has been there for some time who also needs a warm bed and love before his time is up. The only way I can handle going to the shelter is to pick up several(cats) as I don't have room for more dogs, and bring them home to foster and keep them safe until a forever home is found. The starfish story...about you can't save them all but for the one you do..it makes a difference. |
